The Alberta Clipper hit the Doug hard Thursday night, but it
didn’t stop the NAHL faithful from attending the Blue/Green game as the
screaming crowd witnessed a very fast paced competitive battle between the
cross town rivals! Green took an early lead in the first period and held on
through the second period as both teams traded goals. Blue got it together in
the third period and mounted a strong comeback led by Chris “Brownie” Brown who
scored two breakaway goals to tie the game and notched the game winner for the
hat trick as Blue defeated Breen 7-6 . Blue goalie Ken
"Don't Ya Love Em Madly" Bradley and Green goalie Ken "Rebel
without a Rebound" Dean were both solid between the pipes throughout the
contest.
In west coast NAHL action.
Magenta defeated Copper 4-2 and Clear slips by Mauve 4-3.
