Last monday Buffalo Wild Wings defeated Cheers 19-14. The Wings led by Clint "The Edge" Edinger
who found the back of the net seven times, which in hockey math equals two hat tricks and a sweat band. Kevin "Karate Kid" Karales added four goals, equal to one hat trick and a sweat band. Zac "Geisha" Guercia made his only save of the game for Cheers in the waning seconds of the game. It prevented B2W from reaching the twenty goal mark which would have earned them all free boneless wings across the street at B2W headquarters. Guercia is now the new manager of that restaurant. Cheers was led by "Green" Acres with five goals, "The Timinator" and "The Cockroach" with three apiece.
On tuesday The Windmill beat Cimo's 8-4. After being kidnapped last week, Mick Mounsey surrounded himself with reinforcements for this week's contest. Cimo's dressed ten skaters for the game but failed to defeat the Mill despite the deep bench. "You Betcha" Faretra led Windmill with a hat trick while "Gang Bang" and Famiglietti each had a pair. Alex Smith had all four goals for Cimos. With the trade deadline looming, there is talk that GM Brian Burke may send Joel "The Arsenal" Arsenault to Vancouver for Roberto Luongo's autograph.
